Key Responsibilities:
– Lead HAZOP design&review&implementation
– Translate HSE philosophy DRI/EAF designs to local procedures and apply the HAZOP/LOPA philosophy cluster Ghent during the different projects steps
– Responsible for fire protection
– Contribute to the emergency procedure and coordination of the first line aid with the fire department (approach routes) and medical service
– Periodic internal reviews and coordination with stakeholders to address gaps and follow-through resolution.
– Proactively escalate any project governance issues that are creating a barrier to project delivery in a timely manner and make suggestions for how they might be brought back to plan.
– Drive continuous process improvements through the project lifecycle, by using lessons learnt and identifying opportunities.
– Analyse improvement areas identified via maturity assessment, evaluate use cases & prioritize and propose actions.
– Ensure periodic communication, also via Project newsletters and seminars on topical issues to the Project.
– Deliver on any other adhoc requests from the management to improve Project Governance
– You will support and report to the head of the project delivery team
Qualifications:
· HAZOP lead certificate or equivalent
· University degree in engineering or equivalent professional education
· +10 years experience in a similar role
General Requirements:
– Experience in working with EPCM or EPC companies
– Several years experience in big CAPEX projects (100-500M€), or large-scale projects
– Goal oriented, results driven, takes initiative, leadership and attention to detail.
– Effective communicator, with ability to deal ability to proactively deal with senior
executives and stakeholders, persuading them to meet deadlines.
– Proven people management skills .
– you love to tackle several problems at the same time without losing sight of the bigger picture.
– Working on Continuous Improvement is something that comes natural for you
– A hands-on mentality
– Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills
– Knowledge of the Dutch language is a prerequisite .
– Regular travels to Spain (Madrid, Bilbao). 25%-50% travelling depending on the phase of project
– Project language is English
– Project duration 3-4years
– Preferred starting date : as soon as possible
– Main working place is in Ghent.
